No, there is no age limit for this course.

  • After the fourth semester, students go for a six months optional Internships in their area of major specialization. Alternatively, they can do research / practice oriented projects within various Thapar University departments.
  • Research internships can also be carried out at a partner University.
  • After the fourth semester students can also proceed for a 2+2 at a partner University.

Yes, we do provide a space for extra co-curricular activities.

The university has several playgrounds and well-maintained athletic track to encourage the students to take part in different games such as cricket, hockey, table tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton, chess and athletics.

Financial Aid

You need to fill the scholarship form along with the application form. Along with that, you need to attach your parent’s Annual income details (with a certified Income Certificate).

Everyone can apply for the scholarship. The school will follow a need-blind admission policy. Up to 20% of the students who are offered admission will be considered for the merit cum means scholarship. These scholarships are available for the needy and meritorious students. The scholarship amount varies from 20% to 80% of the fees. Scholarship holders will have to maintain a minimum grade point average of 8.0 in the second and third years. A scholarship committee constituted by the director of TIET will make all the scholarship decisions.

NRI

There are in total 9 seats available for Non-resident Indian (NRI)/ Foreign National (FN) students.

The application fee for the Non-resident Indian (NRI)/ Foreign National (FN) students is US$50 only.

Medical issues/Disabled students

We have one seat reserved for the person with disability.

The Institute has a well-equipped Health Centre and Ambulances. The services of the Medical Officer and the Staff Nurse are available. Reimbursement up to ₹2,000/- in an academic year is admissible for emergency cases duly recommended by the warden/medical officer.
