Specialization in Clinical Psychology provides rigorous training in both contemporary clinical science and intervention. Whereas Counseling Psychology focuses on normal and optimal development across the lifespan, with particular attention to expanding knowledge and skills in occupational choice and transitions and adolescent and group counseling. The specialty of industrial-organizational psychology (also called I/O psychology) is characterized by the scientific study of human behavior in organizations and the work place settings. This specialty focuses on deriving principles of individual, group and organizational behavior and applying psychological principles to solve problems at work.
