Dr. N.Tejo Prakash is a Professor at School of Energy and Environment, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, India. He received his MS from SV University, India and Doctorate from Pondicherry University, India. He worked as post-doctoral researcher at Blaustein Desert Research Institute, Israel and Defence Research and Development Organization, India before eventually joining as faculty at Thapar Institute as Assistant Professor in 2003. He was a Visiting Professor to University of Manchester, UK; Pennsylvania State University, USA; and Ritsumeikan University, Japan and is collaborating with research groups in Russia, USA, Japan, and China. He has published more than 75 articles in peer-reviewed journals with more than 1000 citations. He is presently working in the areas of selenium biotransformations, bioaccessibility as well as bioactivity of selenium from dietary sources. He loves teaching and interacting with students on concepts such as Ecology, Environment and Youth for a Sustainable Future.
