Dr. Richa Nigam is an Assistant Professor at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Before joining TSLAS, she worked as a Research Officer at the NSE Centre for Behavioral Science, IIM Ahmedabad. She earned her Master’s and Ph.D. in Cognitive Science degree at the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences, University of Allahabad. In her doctoral thesis program, she looked at affective bias, proactive control and emotion regulation strategies as a function of aging. She also has experience working with special population i e., dementia and related disorders, and dyslexia. She has conducted EEG/ERP and fMRI studies as part of the DST funded projects on neural mechanisms of affective control. She uses psychophysical methods, neuroimaging and Experience Sampling. Her area of research is Emotion Regulation, Cognitive Aging, Cognitive Control and Attention majorly. Given her work experience, she also has interest in Consumer Research.
