Nivedita is currently serving as the Head of Branding at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology where she drives institution-wide communication, marketing, and event branding initiatives. With a deep understanding of the academic ecosystem, she curates experiences that connect students, faculty, alumni, and global stakeholders to the university’s core values and future-facing vision.
A graduate of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE), Nivedita has lived and studied across Austria, Finland, India, Japan, and the Netherlands. This diverse academic journey shapes her unique ability to translate institutional philosophy into creative narratives that resonate across cultures. This international exposure informs her approach to cross-cultural communication and education policy.
Nivedita’s research and teaching interests focus on innovation and change in higher education, particularly pedagogical innovation and design thinking. Her passion for student-centered learning led to the development of a practice-based course titled Organizing, Managing, and Leading in Practice (OML-in-P), designed to bring organizational behavior concepts to life.
Drawing from her five years of experience in student engagement and team management, previosuly served as the Strategic Initiatives lead at LM Thapar School of Management and School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In this role, she effectively oversees special projects and consistently enhances the student’s learning experience. Her responsibilities involve leading teams, collaborating with diverse departments, and optimizing the overall student experience.
Her entrepreneurial mindset and creative problem-solving abilities have been recognized with the prestigious Global Scaling Award from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico.
With her impressive educational background, extensive experience, and unwavering dedication to fostering innovation in higher education, she is well-positioned to create a meaningful and influential impact in the field of higher education.
