Amanpreet Kaur is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Her Ph.D. work included identifying the personal and contextual factors as determinants of employee attitudes and turnover intention among the employees of multinational corporations operating in India. She also examined the interaction and interplay among the personality of the employees and the organizational factors at the workplace. Her research interest lies in understanding the human behavior and psychology at workplace using quantitative methodology. In addition to her research work, she has a field experience of working as a counsellor as well.
In her postgraduation in Psychology, she was awarded gold medal for securing first position in the branch at Thapar University, Patiala. She also received performance scholarship during this period. She volunteered to work as an active member of ‘Career Guidance and Personal Counseling Cell’, in addition to serving as the Student Representative in Student Consultative Committee during her postgraduation.
