Dr. Olga Belousova is an entrepreneurship scholar whose work bridges research, teaching, and practice across Europe and Asia. She specializes in entrepreneurial capability development in challenging contexts, including complex industries such as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, corporate and academic entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship in environments shaped by market or institutional failures.
At the University of Groningen, Dr. Belousova teaches entrepreneurship to non-business students in medicine, biomedical engineering, and doctoral programs, combining experiential learning, project-based assignments, and living cases. She has supervised numerous BSc, MSc, and PhD projects and co-developed international programs such as Erasmus+ LISTO and EIT Health initiatives.
Her research has appeared in leading journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and Foresight and STI Governance. She also contributes to the global entrepreneurship community through editorial board service (Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy), reviewing for top journals, and organizing international conferences and summer schools.
Beyond academia, Dr. Belousova has played a central role in VentureLab North, a major business accelerator in the Netherlands, and continues to support entrepreneurial education initiatives worldwide, including Thapar’s “Teach the Teacher” program.
