PRAVAH 2026 Highlights TSLAS’s Five-Year Journey and Vision for the Future

In order to celebrate five years of the school's existence and consider its vision for interdisciplinary education, institutional leadership, and the future of higher education, the Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TSLAS) organized PRAVAH 2026, a two-day academic event held on February 27–28, 2026.

 

The conference brought together academic leaders, scholars, and practitioners to deliberate on contemporary challenges in education and explore emerging possibilities in pedagogy, research, and institutional development. Through keynote addresses, interactive discussions, and collaborative sessions, PRAVAH 2026 provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on the evolving landscape of higher education.

 

The event commenced on 27 February with a welcome address by the Chancellor of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) at the Main Auditorium, followed by a keynote address by Prof. Shruti Kapila from the University of Cambridge. The first day concluded with a cultural performance, marking the beginning of the two-day academic celebration.

 

The second day featured a keynote address by the Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor, followed by the inauguration of the Art Room at TSLAS. The programme also included table-based discussions across multiple learning spaces and the T/Unscripted session, encouraging open conversations and exchange of ideas among participants. The conference concluded with a valedictory session and high tea at the TSLAS Seminar Room.

 

PRAVAH 2026 reflected TSLAS’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary learning and creating spaces for academic engagement. The gathering highlighted the school’s growth over five years while reaffirming its ambition to contribute to conversations shaping the future of higher education.
