TSLAS Concludes What Do Philosophers Do? Series with Discussion on Origin of Life

The first season of the online lecture series “What Do Philosophers Do?” concluded with a special episode on the Origin of Life (OOL) Problem held on Thursday, May 14, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

The session featured Prof. Sanjay Jain, Senior Professor of Physics at the University of Delhi, and Dr. Daniel J. Nicholson, Assistant Professor of Integrated History and Philosophy of Science at George Mason University. They discussed scientific and philosophical perspectives on one of the most fundamental questions in human inquiry: how life originated.

 

Organized as the season finale of “What Do Philosophers Do?”, the online event brought together scholars, students, and members of the public to explore the intersection of philosophy and science. The discussion examined contemporary approaches to the Origin of Life Problem and highlighted the role of philosophical inquiry in addressing complex scientific questions.

 

The event was conducted online and witnessed participation from individuals interested in engaging with questions at the crossroads of science, philosophy, and human understanding.
